I know there is a cost of living crisis ..but not sure why my breakdown cover has gone up £100 this year. That’s for 3 cars, any driver inc the zed.

That's crazy, like car insurance they "try it on"; many just pay and they usually reduce the cost if you speak to them. It's sharp practise really. :(

My breakdown cover was more than my insurance🤣

I been an RAC member for 30 yrs now pay £31 per month for me and Mrs V its a personal membership rather than any specific vehicles

Pretty expensive now but it covers 3 cars, 3 motor bikes and a motorhome

My AA gold membership has went up this year so now £22 a month personal cover.
Stephen.

We've paid £20 a month for at least the last decade through our bank, this also includes mobile phone insurance and World-wide travel insurance, card insurance. The policy is for me and Yvonne meaning it applies to any car we're in, driving or not.

I was member of RAC for over 30 years and only had used the service 3 times in that period, then in 2017 they said my renewal for two cars/two drivers was going up from £95 to £165 which was huge increase back then. I queried it and they said my previous renewal had been a special deal. I said well you have a lost a long term customer, you are taking the mickey with that increase.
I been with AutoAid ever since ( got similar cover back then for £40), I've just renewed at £78 for two cars/ two drivers. Just checked it would cost £155 for similar cover with RAC.
Only down side to AutoAid is my Z3 MC being over 10 years old you have to pay a £25 excess on a breakdown, keep fingers crossed then.
