Quick rim fitment question.

ah mate of me just bought himself a 3.0 Z4 coupe. He needs to drive it home, however it’s wintertime here. So we were thinking he could borrow my 17” winter tires (ET35) with 225/45r17. The car is lowered 35mm with own calipers.

Will those will work? We just need to get the car home and the it will be winterstored

The issue with the Coupe will be fitment over the calipers, I’m fairly sure the Si models need 18” wheels to fit over them. I’ll try and confirm that tomorrow, off to bed now.

Great! The rims in question are my winter wheels, they are very open/wide with straight spokes. Absolute fantastic if you do the test fitment and confirm this

The problem is that we have drive about 600km one way to get the car and we can only fit one set in the transport car So we kinda need to sure.

Yeah there is an issue with the callipers. I tried a few sets of z3 17s and didn't have enough room.

Do you know what rims exactly?

The spec on the rims we want to use is this:
Rim: 17x8
ET: 35
Tire: 225/45/17

if you tried Z3 rims, I guess the ET was around 40-45? Was the room issue on the heigth or the offset?

Currently on the Z4 Coupe there is:
Front 18X8.5 ET35
Back 18x9.5 ET35

I think that might fight, unless the height was a problem.
