Not that I've heard of, But my mate fitted one to his 135i because they lack the LSD from factory.

My only question would be do you intend to track or just enjoy spirited drives?

The standard LSD has "stronger" effects, especially in a corner when the inside wheel is unweighted, but they wear out (due to the various clutch plates wearing down). Helical LSD (Quaife) behaves like an open diff when one wheel is totally unweighted but "never" wears out, and generally are quieter and have easier driveability.

Funnily enough I am looking at this at the moment as i cannot for the life of me find an old small case E30 LSD Diff, so my calls next week are to here:

What ratio are you looking to go for?
I've been thinking about going to a 3.73.
I'd like to keep my current diff and have the ability to swap back if I don't like it (or sell it on if I'm happy)
A 3.73 is quite a jump- from what I've seen its 5th will feel like 4th but my usage is not motorway and I would like to have some more punchy feeling acceleration (0-60 is probably the same due to shifting more but that's not what I want, I want the sensation of speed and acceleration while staying within the limits for the road).
It's been done a few times in the US on S54's too.

Last time I checked with Quaife (for an e46 330i) it was at least 1k plus fitting (and they needed my original diff as back then in 2006 they had not made any e46 330i diffs).

I am looking for the same result as you, faster acceleration, but certainly will be at the expense of the top end, but I assume it will be no different from an 80's style car where the top end was low but acceleration quite good.

Initial costs back are £800 for the kit, do it your self or £1100 fitted, both are plus vat.
