Agh, I want to change my vote! haha.
Looking at the poll results I think some people are over complicating it
The only time I ever made a profit on a car was back in 1973, I bought a sit up and beg Ford pop from a mate for £5, ran it for a few weeks, worst car I have ever driven the cable brakes were horiffic. Scrapped it for £5 and got £2.50 car tax refund.
My only profit was buying a new Volvo XC90 when they first came out and selling it a year later for about 5k more

I am getting 'into' the Z3 market. It would seem a licence to print money. I have found an average 3 litre with low mileage that I have offered £5k for.
I will give it a clean and advertise it on AT for around £20k. I am in no hurry!
