Purge valve solenoid clicking on battery ON - is it normal?

Has anyone encountered this type of clicking on the EVAP purge breather valve

Have also checked with INSTA to try to force it open or closed and it seems to work fine, the component was replaced last year after the usual error code (don't remember the name right now)

But I am not sure if it has been doing that sound all of its life or something is wrong (no codes found)

If you're talking about the so called " Smog Pump" take it off and bin it. You do not need it.

I am talking about about this thing here

. But I replaced it last year when I bought my Z3 because it had an error, why should I throw it out? And what do you do with the lines coming in .

The main question is does it make a clicking sound on other Z3s and why can't I post a video?

No that isn’t the Smog Pump, If you replaced it last year and it is faulty can you not get another under warranty?
