Hello Zedders

You may of seen I am finally a proud owner of a Z3 Dakar :D
The story started before Christmas I saw the Z3 on eBay and been watching it for a while thinking surely this maybe my only chance to own one with prices getting higher.:nailbiting:

@Lee and @Shortie_gal came up to Aylesbury just before Christmas to see @Mnbrennan and myself, so over dinner the discussion started and that was it this Dakar was stuck in my head. :p

The next step was to ask my fellow Zedders to see if anyone was kind enough to go and see it for me before we did the 2hr 45 mins drive. Luck would have it my friend and fellow Zedder @yocky z3 2.0 was working in the area and was kind enough to go and see it and give us the thumbs up it was worth seeing
I owe @yocky z3 2.0 a few beers :drinks:

@Mnbrennan and @Lee came with me last weekend and after a good look round a test drive and inspecting I came to a deal with a nice chap called Gary who said the Zed couldn't of gone to a better home and is looking forward to being updated (yes he got a big hug)
So here she is my Sunny Dakar awaiting some tlc

Well done on getting the colour you wanted. I wonder how many Dakar M's were made...?
I've only ever seen facelift model in yellow, never an M.

Just remember to calibrate the right foot when going from the 2.2 to the M. It doesn't need nearly as much revs or throttle to get going (although the throttle pedal whole feel heavier on the M compared with the fly by wire on the 2.2)!

There tends to be a bit of slack in the M drivetrain so she needs to learn to be progressive with the clutch. Took me a couple of weeks

On my 2.8 the CDV delete and braided hose made clutch action much better. Then the new diff bush and subframe bushes made it better than it's ever been.
Not sure of the same applies to the M?

Oh and I also have a raised clutch stop which is nice if you have dead travel before the clutch bites.
