Assuming the numbers on Wikipedia are worldwide - does anyone know how many of the 14.5k 3.0i roadster models were sold in the UK? Cheers

Let’s see the new 3.0 then.
Freezing it's nuts off pal and still filthy from the 7 hour drive home after picking it up last week but I'd say it's got potential - will introduce it properly once the snow has done one

I am not entirely sure how accurate this website is but How Many Left? is actually a site that attempts to answer exactly this. From what I can decypher, it seems to differentiate between say a 3.0i, 3.0i "sport", 3.0i 'sport edition' as different cars.

3.0i 'Sport Edition' 23 ONTR 21 SORN

3.0i 'Sport' Auto - 57 47

3.0i 'Sport' - 110 88

3.0i Auto - 19 8

3.0i (manual) - 182 175

"3.0i 'Z3 auto'" - 2 1

3.0i BMW Z3 57 29

The good news is, your new 3.0i could be a 'sport' or 'sport edition' going by the front grille. It will likely be listed on the V5 document as being registered as a 'sport'.

So potentially 1 of 346 'sport' left on UK roads. 1 in 819 3.0i left on UK roads.

Thanks for that very interesting and according to the V5 and the original sale receipt from John Clark Aberdeen the model is listed as a Z3 Sport Roadster - the vin report also has the option S0719Sports Edition.
In terms of the front & rear bumpers I've managed to find them in the AC Schnitzer catalogue along with the Type III multipiece wheels and chrome roll hoops which it also has. All told it seems like a relatively rare example.

Well-known as being very innaccurate!

Heard as much on other forums. Can only really take it on face value. Still fun to peak.

Fair enough.. and I don't have enough knowledge to challange that however if you go on the site and read the source of the information its plausable that its reasonably accurate unless the numbers are simply made up?

Anyway I recently purchased a 3.0 Sports edition and I'd also be very interested to know how many were sold in the UK.. I cannot work out how the source could be the DVLA as on my log book it is simply referred to as a 3.0 Sport Roadster...Its only when you delve into the BMW decoder with the VIN that its true identity is revealed as a Sports Edition as it has S719 in the spec
