Anyone had dealings with these? They are based in South Wales, Abercarn (moved from Cardiff).

Actually they are coming out at similar price to Longlife and Powerflow. Thought they would be a tad cheaper tbh.

They seem more small business with a decent rep to me and I prefer giving my money to that sort of crew however its comes down to quality of product, fitting and aftercare.
All say its lifetime (while you own) guarantee.

Anyone had dealings with them?

Diolch!

I don't have any experience with them but for my recent experience, make sure that they know and have worked with Zs in the past.

I went to a powerflow representative here in Ireland and they had no clue to be honest. They just have 3 types of universal mufflers which were basically from big to small. I told them that I wanted something as close as OEM as possible and particularly didn't want any drone.

Ended up with a nice looking stainless exhaust that'll produce nothing but done, horrendous sound all together with no character and actually so dep that would overrun the sound of the engine completely. Long story short, they would take no responsibility and they only offer was to sort of patch the old rusted out box and re-fit it but at no refund or discounted price.

Having experience with motorcycles, I made myself a baffle and improved the sound quite a bit by reducing the drone.

Moral of the story is, make sure they have experience with Zs... it's a very short and kind of unique car (in the sense that it's not your average 3 series or Honda, etc)

Thats a good tip @RTV and something to ask them, I read on web searches that people take their z3m coupes there. Not sure about non M Zeds though

Could you please explain the baffle and how you fitted it?

Sure, happy to share as long as you don't judge my shitty welds :D

So basically the new muffler came in with a pretty big pipe, can't remember if it was 2" or bigger. What I've done was to grab a piece of pipe that was the same diameter of the original pipe which I think it was 1 3/4" (I got an off cut from a local shop).

I drilled a couple of holes which depending on how much noise you want you can make them bigger or make more holes...
Then made myself two "rings" out of a piece of metal to fit the outer diameter of the new muffler and the original dimension pipe. I put two to add a bit more stability. Ideally you could just put a bigger pipe on top like a sleeve but that felt a bit more complicated to find the right dimension, etc...

Tack welded the two rings and added a nut to run a bolt from the outside so it's removable. Fit is pretty tight so I don't think it'll come lose but just in case the nut/bolt will make sure that it stays put.

For good measure, I added a little bit of exhaust paste to make sure it was as tight as possible and wouldn't leak all over the rings.

It certainly kills the drone and gives it a nice sound. Easily reverted too...

If I had to do it all over again, I'll just bite the bullet and buy a proper replacement with OEM sound.

Just spoke with Charlie at Pro Speed. Really nice chap and obviously knowledgeable and experienced at what he does as was speaking with him for ages and car isn't even booked in yet. Before I said anything he was saying he will make up the silencers a few days before and I wouldn't want anything too small so noisy on motorway etc etc. Will book it in a few weeks prior to when looking at having it done in April

That certainly sounds like a whole different experience to what o have. I wish I could find professionals like that locally.

Ok so if in understand correctly you created a restriction in the tail pipe coming out of the back the muffler?

To a certain degree, yes. But if you think about it, i just reduced to the original size exhaust matching the rest of it.

Plus, it still has room to flow better than if it was only that size... So it's still better flow than stock.
