Better air intake, free flowing exhaust & custom remap.

Depending on which of the 2.8 engines you have there is a manifold swap that can give around 25bhp extra.

I have found the right way around is to do the suspension (shocks, damper and all bushes) first. It makes it go so much better and gets around the corners brilliantly.
This felt like it added at least 20bhp because of the way it drives after this.
Being able to use what power is there already makes such a difference.
Engine and gearbox mounts is what I'd like to do next.

But even before that refresh cooling system and check your electric fan works - parts will fail if they haven't done already (thermostat and housing, viscous fan, water pump expansion tank and radiator).

Been down this road Chitty time after time and mines the double vanos and for me the shark injector was what I wanted but was informed it won't work on the Brit models for some reason, I've gone down the Gaz/Dinno route and feel it drives much more to my liking, although I still yearn for the M model I was told by a Zm owner that it wouldn't be easy to get round our 2.8s in a run off so don't be disappointed,( he was probably being kind) the 2.8s are no slouches, ok lots of small turbo engined motors will give you a run for your money but your engine will outlast them plus the car's looks far out way the differences, just take a look at some on here, learn to live with the power it gives you but use it wisely for a 2.8 can catch you out coming out of a corner. The Ms made for your country are rated 250 bhp I believe so your not that far behind, not like the Brit one's which are 315-325 unmollested, I'd go for regular servicing/inspection, nice cold air, exhaust, premium fuel, good tyres and brakes then start looking at the suspension and all bushings, once done go for the look you want and you'll end up with a Z you won't want to part with plus one that everyone admires. Keep us all over here updated and remember most accessories for the Z are right there in your own back yard. Good luck. Rha, Roy.
