So after a good service my attention has been overwhelmed with the need to dabble and experiment. Distracting me this time a trial fit of some pre facelift headlights with the black grilles (also on a trial run).
I must be doing something right as that's the second time the OH has agreed with my ideas. I admit I miss the chrome rings inside the headlight but think the orange nicely contrasts the topaz blue. Thoughts?

I’ve voted for clear, but i do like the pre-facelift lights. Colour dependent for me and my vote would be different had the car been Boston Green or Montreal.

Sorry, I have no idea what you want to know. They are different but the pictures are also from different angles and one has a ton of glare.
Sorry :(

Have both - swap the indicator lenses over so you have the chrome rings and the orange lenses!

Tango all day long for me, suits my black Z3, in my opinion.

I do like the look of the aftermarket reflector headlights, especially in the black trim since I have a green car. However, I am not sure they perform any better than stock lights with a good bulb.

You're absolutely spot on Rudy, looks much nicer but light output needed Osram "Nightbreaker" bulbs fitting.

I was talking more about the tango thing.

For point of reference the word "Jap" is as derogatory as " spic, wog, shirt lifter, coon, taff, pikey, jock, ...etc". Think about it.
And you meant "too Jap", not that it makes any difference.

We are all so different, I hate those beedy eye lights, I think they change the look so much and not for the good, they look to Jap

Ahhh we do live in a world of PC correctness, but I do have to pull you up on this. Taff and Jock are not generally derogatory words (unless intentially intended to be) and are not on the whole thought of in the same vein as the other words you mention, and are used along with Aussie, Yank etc as a descriptive of a persons nationality. Jap is used as an abreviation and used a lot in the UK, again not as a derogatory term (unless intentially intended to be)

I know Sean and I will guarantee you his comment was not intended to be "derogatory" in any way or to cause personal offense.

Your quotation mark at the end is in the wrong place, unless you are also classing the term " ...etc" " as derogatory.
Otherwise it should read ---- " spic, wog, shirt lifter, coon, taff, pikey, jock," ...etc.

Just saying....;)

I don't see the word "Jap" derogatory in any way shape or form, particulary as I was refering to car parts and not persons, If I meant to be offensive it would be a lot clearer then that :)

Sorry to bump an old post but after much deliberation and a little help from the fact that my tango headlights were draining my battery I have resorted back to the clear style facelift headlights which I have begun to clean up.
