Don’t know if anyone is going to this show but just found out it has been cancelled, because of the Coronavirus.

Unfortunately
Just watching the PM now. We are to become a ghost country within a week.
It will be quieter for sure. Just essential travel and trips out to the shops etc. Life will go on but only selective parts of normal day to day life.
Motorways were only a little quieter than normal. People will still have to travel for various reasons. Only peak times will be considerably quieter I expect.
We're not in total lockdown like China was nor as Italy is to a great degree now. Hopefully what is happening here isn't too little too late. Just good social distancing. Just slowing transmission enough to change it from exponential growth to a linear more manageable one.
There seem to be lots of over 70's not surprisingly somewhat put out though. I can see their point, but, in the end, its to allow the public services the capability to look after those that need it by protecting the whole group at significant risk - to give them and everyone else the opportunity to have and enjoy their life again when all this is sorted (3-6 months???). That said, the only time my mum and dad have been able to get out since October was to go to A&E. They've already been forgotten and outcast by the social care system and essentially isolated for several years already.
We were due to see Elvis Costello at Symphony Hall in Brum on Wed. That got pulled yesterday. I think it's good on organisers of events to be seen to be acting in the public good before there is any compunction to do so. Indeed - such actions might have prompted government to act.
Just got to sort out panic buying now. Hacking into the receipt itemisation of sales systems of the supermarkets and then publishing names of who has bought piles of loo rolls, pasta and soap might do that might just cause some embarrassment. Don't temp me
