Power steering pipes

So after replacing my front suspension, wishbowns and track rod ends.... My rusty power steering pipes gave in as I was driving to the garage to get the tracking done.

So I'm planing on replacing all of the metal power steering hoses. Apart from the cooling lines at the front of the car.

I have the steering rack off and can see that all of the metal hoses and the banjo bolts connecting the hoses and pipes to the rack need replacing. I've looked online and can only find one guy on eBay making them and he's not even got all the pipes I need :'(

Any clue where I should get them from? Apart from BMW as they are extortionately expensive.

Try a local hydraulic pipe specialist.

Decided upon buying some of it from "power steering store" and making one of the pipes myself as it can be done with a banjo bolt and some hose! Hopefully it works out!

It is indeed, the bloke that is making the other sorted me out with special delivery so I can get the car going again by Saturday! Top bloke!

How much are they from BMW? I have found some parts expensive and others no so bad.
On my Ferrari the engine oil feed pipe was leaking, l contacted Maranello and it was £1100 for a hose about 18" long with a union at each end

I got one made for less than 10% the cost from Ferrari.

Was going to be 200 for one pipe, I needed 3, got all 3 for just over 100, not too bad and they are pretty much exactly the same as genuine ones, just a few bits of pipe at the end of the day haha. Not worth getting genuine ones in my opinion
