Hi All,

Can I remove and do away with the power steering cooling loop?

From what I can gather the cooling loop is not fitted to all Z3's. Being based in the UK we do get some hot days but not blisteringly.
Power Steering Fluid and Automatic Transmission Fluid is often rated to 125 degrees Celsius minimum. Power steering fluids won't be getting close to this with normal use.

A replacement cooling loop is £120 minimum.

What are people's thoughts?

Thanks
Martin

Can someone send or post a picture of the high pressure line coming out of the steering pump and the route it takes including the fixing to the engine brace
All my bits are currently on the kitchen floor...

edit: I forgot to say “please” and “thank you”. Please and thank you.

I recently procured a new steering cooler pipe direct from BMW Chelmsford for £78.
