Guys,
Due to increasing problems with driving a manual car (old car crash injury causing great difficulty using a manual shift unfortunately) Having given up riding motorbikes, then Porsches and Alfa's.....I've reluctantly reached the stage where I guess I will have to sell the zed. After much agonising, I will have to move to an automatic ...probably a Jaguar XK8 to accompany my everyday XJ.
So, I have an 80k miler with full history. In my year of ownership we have enjoyed driving the car and the club immensely with two tours of Europe including the alpine passes between Switzerland and Italy...plus many club runs and general UK touring.
In the last year the car has had a new battery, 4 new premium tyres, been fully serviced with all filters (oil/fuel/air/aircon) and fluids changed (engine oil / gearbox oil/ diff oil/ coolant / brake & clutch fluid/ power steering fluid) air con has been regassed; brake discs/pads/mounts/handbrake shoes/springs all changed for new; engine oil breathers and intake flap replaced with new (intake flap upgraded with metal kit); Engine camshaft and temperature sensors replaced with new; New Mass airflow meter; full service including new plugs, wipers etc. plus wheel alignment. Additionally I've fitted a full engine undertray plus a mesh cabin windbreaker.
The car is a Z3 2.2l sport (6 cyl) in Dakargelb with electric hood and seats, heated seats and original business radio with a CD multiplayer in the boot. It also has BMW cruise control (fitted by myself last year).
It's in pretty good condition, totally reliable and garaged in my care.......question is what should I ask for it? I will put a full MOT on the car...any guidance macho appreciated
Jon
