I remember that magazine..also recommends disposing of old tyres by simply setting fire to them…they’ll be gone in no time at all 😎

Just think of all the exhaust fumes I emitted driving my old oli to the local recycling centre. No more. Thank you top scientists at popular science magazine for that environ mental tip.

I recycle old oil by diluting it with diesel and painting the fence panels  =)) =)) =))

Beats pouring it down the drain, of course I would never have countenanced such a thing, oh to be young again!

Used to mix the old oil with creosote for painting the fence ~ gave the fence a nice dark colour

Used to do that to the pallets (i.e. creosote & oil) we used for building our bonfires (decades ago)...and we may, possibly, allegedly have hidden rolls of Chinese firecrackers in there on occasion.

We're lucky if we can light a sparkler or set off some cat2 fountains on bonfire night nowadays without neighbours complaining...so I'd hate to think what medical event they'd suffer had they been living here when we used to set off the 3-4" mortars
