You'll need to drill a hole where the crack ends to stop it spreading then find yourself something good to re bond it.

Won't having another hole be a tad inconvenient?

My concern about widening the hole to spread the crack to allow glue in is that it's likely to have extended the fracture. Some glue along the inside on the crack and then pressurise it for a while to allow the glue to be forced in then later release the pressure and clamp the plastic each side the gap.

ps. I don't think the crack will open any further now due to the port not having a tapered thread screwed into it, but I do take your point Lee. I had considered doing just that but it meant another hole to plug. DON'T start.;)

To finish it off. I would be tempted to put some mohair around the crack and sealed hole and not around the one that's been plugged. Just as a reminder to the missus of what can be done if they annoy us too much =))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))=))

So you have gone the other way and now you have a smooth hairless crack and hole that you have sealed and plugged, =)):whistle::whistle::thumbsup:
