Hi everyone I just purchased my first Z3 in pistachio a couple of weeks ago! Does anyone Know if pistachio green (468) is a metallic or pearlescent color? on some websites it says pistachio green pearl met. Does this mean it is a pearlescent paint?

My Z is a Pearlescent white , I’m sure it says in my logbook.
I think the pearlescent paint is a bit softer than metallic paint .
Im sure the particles in pearlescent paint are more smaller.
The metallic paint has small metal particles in and pearlescent has synthetic particles .
Maybe when you see the two paints together you can tell the difference.

Interesting! Why do you think that? They've both got the same clear-coat lacquer on top.
That's pretty much correct, pearl paint has mica particles, and they can be either synthetic or natural mica.
