Get some live data from your scanner. it will give you a path to follow.
what scanner do you have.

Different car and there are lots of other areas to check first but I had this on my Z4 Alpina, pinking under torque load. Took ages to track down, turned out to be head gasket failure between cylinders 4 & 5 causing combustion gases to leak between them, there was no fluid contamination issues.

I would go to live data menu, create a custom list containing trim levels, co2, spark and advance and record a small ride.
then check whatever values seem off scale and proceed from there.
(or - and this is a pro tip - get an MX5 and stop bothering with old cars  )
just kidding…

I would only run down to half full and then fill it with the "good stuff".

Tony.

Actually mate , I think your onto something, another drive today and aside from the pre-det. I think it,s legs are better than running on 95 or 98..So I should be aiming at 93 or 93 and a half..=)). But then, what do I know about performance tuning....

Of course there is always the beer option, but my missus reckons that would throw it into limp mode, whatever that means...
