When I plan a caper, I don't do things by halves.

Drive Through Every County (yes, we drove through every county in Great Britain)
NEWS (The extremities of Great Britain [North, East, West, South, Highest, Lowest and a Sunset to Sunrise Challenge])
15 Countries in 15 Days

Now, the latest...

Drive the longest straight line in Great Britain.

I've decided to look at driving from Cape Wrath to Selsey Bill, driving over every piece of tarmac that is on the straight line between the two. Here's the initial planning...

Wow that is a caper! Wonder what the actual distance vs the straight line distance will be? Are you planning on doing it all in one go, or doing it in sections?

The straight line distance is 581 miles.

I reckon on between 1000 and 1500 for the caper plus 500 to get to the start and from the finish, so around 2000 all in. DTEC was 2500 all in.

I don't know if it will be all in one go. DTEC took 5 days of driving, so it may be around the same.

wow. what machine is going to be tasked with this epic journey ?
