Hi Everyone,

Trying to ensure we have a great day, we have successfully arranged our lunch to be at Carsington Water - and been given allocated spaces.

https://www.stwater.co.uk/leisure-and-learning/reservoir-locations/carsington-water/

We are in communication on the restaurant, but wanted to gain what people's preference were - about food.

When we have a clearer understanding of the over all groups preference - Menus will be posted.

Also, there is a £2.50 parking charge for the day - its normally only for 2 hours.

Please respond to the three sections

Type
Budget
Pre or not Pre pay

POLE IS VALID FOR 7 DAYS ONLY AND WILL BE CLOSED ON THE 16TH FEB

Our vote is in. Only voted for one as multiple votes may confuse the overall decision?

Sorry I know its an bit confusing, however its giving me an idea what people prefer - which I hope make these event successful - as its both mine and @Mac Romans first attempt in organising. As my preference would be Hooters lol

Since we have an idea of peoples preferred budget, and menu - I requested an sample menu for everone

Its quite easy really. You have 3 food choices 2 Budgets and 2 types of payment any logical person would pick one out of each all the illogical people well what can i say =))

Back on topic - the Mints have voted
We agree with @Bozzy a cold buffet would be quicker, no waiting for the food and would give everyone a chance to mingle. With a cruise you spend more time on your own in the Zed so any chance to mingle (good word that :D) has got to be good imho :)

OK Mr Pedantic! I didn't mean it confuses me, what I meant was if they are looking at one way to feed everybody, if people are putting in multiple votes then it doesn't give a true reflection as to what people want to do. If you vote 3 ways are you going to have 3 meals. No your not are you!

I've voted as per instructions, but don't really care how it's done.I like the idea of sitting down to a hot meal, but there can be problems serving a large group as we all know.I suppose a cold buffet might be the best option for this kind of event.

I'm not a fan of cold buffet to be honest. I find them extremely unhygienic with everyone mawling the food looking for what they want. Yak! But obviously as all ready stated you can't please everyone so I'm happy to go with whatever the organisers decide. As we know after my cruise last year feeding large numbers can be difficult for the caterers involved.

I have spoken to the caterers and they are we should have an menu Tue/Wed next week. However quite right @Grumpy catering for numbers is not easy - and an depost has been requested. When more information is available I will share.
