Tried Search function but not coming up with anything so……

Having changed my OEM Roll Bars to a chrome version, I’m now looking at a Perspex Wind Deflector. I’ve found a clear version but want one with a design etched on. I found a company that can do it but the cost was more expensive than the deflector itself!

So, does anyone know who can do this (at a reasonable cost)? I don’t mind buying the deflector pre-etched if that’s a possibility.

I had a perspex wind blocker cut to shape at a company in Gainsborough , Lincs. They also did some etching on them for me in the price. Maybe you have a place local to you that could do it? It was Trent Plastics who did mine.

There is a Perspex wind deflector with the Z3 and BMW logo etched in on eBay, I have one the quality is very good, I spotted one on a Z3 at Zfest last year, the guy is based in Lincolnshire, £105 including postage.

Sadly, it’s not for chrome roll hoops 😢

Thanks Tony. Sadly no one close by hence asking on here. I’ll try contacting Trent on Monday. 👍

Rather than etching you could get a sticker made up.
You can get any design, size and colour arrangement you want.
If you went for a very light smoke effect / grey it will resemble etching.

You can actually get a vynil that looks axactly like etched glass, I use it for shower screens etc, you can change it at any time..
Like this. But this one my wife doesn't like for some reason,

Ah but do note that if you use this stuff, and you want to apply to the inside of the deflector, which is the obvious choice..Invert the image. Even I have made that mistake..

Haha; I’ve already enquired as this seems the best way forwards and yes, thankfully, I realised it would need to be inverted. 😎👍

Yeah it reminds me of that Top Gear episode / challenge when Hammond puts "ECNALUBMA" on the front of his van, and James May just uses a hearse because it will save time and fuel, or something like that...=)).

Yell out if you need a hand with the artwork, I do it for a living.. No charge of course, maybe a modest donation to the forum. But only if that makes you happy..;)
