People admiring my Zed

Today, for the first time in my car owning life, I returned to my car to find a couple standing admiring it.

They had parked next to me in their relatively new 5 series (I think it was a 5 series) and both stood there for a while to admire my 12 year old 2.0 Z3.
I overheard them discussing the pros and cons of owning one, and the wife saying it would be rubbish for shopping, at which point we reached the car, opened the boot and loaded it with shopping (not a huge amount fortunately).

The Z3 has always been a lovely looking car in my eyes, but it is nice to see passers by admiring it.

I'm starting to appreciate why you are all so enthusiastic your zeds

I was in crawling traffic a few months back, no top, and heard a chap saying ''B***y hell, thats nice, what is it, wish i could afford one''
I find that people assume the purchase cost is huge and are amazed at the price these cars were last year, and even more so now.

One funny thing at work last year, a colleague was telling his friend what a nice car i had, a Z3, his pal said yes, a BMW it will be nice. My colleague argued adamantly that it wasnt a BMW. Unbeknown to me, this went on for a few weeks and his arguement was - because it didnt have the Blue BMW badge I have the black asc badges poor lad, he did take some stick




And Gary, dont you be deleting anything else tonight :-*
