After opening the bedroom curtains to a beautiful sunny morning we decided to have a run out in the Zed. So after brekky we set out for fuel and a run, then the sun went in and clouds turned up. Up around in our usual playground on dry roads and no traffic. From Uttoxeter north over Weaver Hill to Ilam then onto Alstonefields for a loo stop (gentlemen of a certain age will understand, you youngsters have it to come;)). Next was Hulme End, Warslow and on towards Buxton. Then Longnor, Grangemill and lunch at Cromford Wharf. Home via a tea room in Ashbourne. Circa 100 miles, all top down:thumbsup:. We even found some roads we hadn't been on before, bonus.

Some of my favourite lanes Dave, the one down from just above Buxton to Earl Sterndale is one I often take. I might well have been driving down there yesterday too, but unfortunately I had to spend much of the day with some cold beers watching the sun shining on the Atlantic.

Roads you've not been on before Dave, does that mean you were lost?
Ha, no Paul. My planned route was via a single track road which was closed for a the day for workers from National Power. We found a diversion to get around, hence the new roads. Simples;)

...Wish I could have joined you 😏...
Sorry Steve, it was a very last minute decision. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity in the coming months for trips out;)
