Can any of you fantastic people tell me the name of the bit that's missing here?
Should it be silver to match the paint or is it a plastic trim?
Only really noticed it today when I was replacing the aerial grommet...

That is the cover for the third brake light, have a word with @spurs fan in a coupe

Yep, its just a bit of plastic trim.

Phoned the local BMW dealer. £10 all in! Amazing they still have these bits and pieces.

Its surprising, I haven't failed to get anything as yet speaking to my local BMW parts dept recently the chap in there says you can even still get most parts for 1970s BMWs
