I have a pair of beige Sport seats requiring light restoration. And a pair of black non Sport seats which are very solid.

A decent pair of standard leather seats are going to cost around £150-£350 depending on colour and how keen the seller is to move them on as they're bulky.
A decent pair of Sport seats are a desireable item and are going to cost more like £500-£800. You'll find bargains here harder to come by.

They look like a nice choice for a Z3. Not sure how much of a rush I'd be in to change them unless they are uncomfortable or you want to go all OEM.He has Recaro style seats in his car.
I am an OEM nut but I like them as well and would keep them if they were in a car and I bought it like that.
They have been used for a reason, non sport OEM seats are crap.
I have to agree with HT, my OEM seats in the 1.9 Z3 get real uncomfortable after an hours driving. The MC seats are far, far superior and have never felt uncomfortable at all, in over 200K miles of driving. Are MC/MR seats the same as Z3 "sports" seats do we know?
Hmm perhaps I should keep them then! They aren't uncomfortable as such, But I do like neat and tidy and didn't like the control buttons flopping about loose. Maybe I'll try and rig something up to hold them in place!
