WRT the convertible roof frame. The front brace, the one which has the two locking levers, has patches where the paint has gone leaving exposed metal. I would like to address this in the easiest of ways. My initial thought would be to use enamel model paint. At this point I am now trying to get the best colour match. Does anyone know anything about the original paint/colour other than it is black or a dark grey?
This leads to, has anyone else addressed this issue and how. I can see the most likely course of action is to rub down, mask off and use a rattle can, again of the best fit colour.
Many thanks.

I used some basic black enamel on my Z3. Just sanded off the area and brush painted it.
