Outcome of BMW Z3 rear window repair.............

... found an installer who made DVD's on installation and would have installed mine for $100.00 so he could make a video of it. This was a few months ago. When I contacted him now, he had already installed one on a Z3 and no longer was making the offer. I asked him how much he wanted and he said... he's retired now and not interested in doing it at all...
His first and only Z3 rear window installation is what retired him.

Viewed your video just now, Frankie. You are a brave man to attempt to put a new rear window in single handed! At least you provided a snap shot of the starting process which is useful. It's just unfortunate that the first steps uncovered a more serious problem with the soft top. However, a replacement Top will give your car a new look!

Best wishes with that!

David.

We'll see what happens next. Don't think I'll attempt to install it myself. Frankie

A friend at work recently changed his soft top on his MX5 and he said it was relatively easy too. Only had to re tension a couple of areas. That was just him and a brummie.=))=)).no dogs or sheep.

That is a person from Birmingham ( Not Alabama). In this case, his wife.lol:)
