I said in a recent post I thought my battery was nearing the end. - Got a dry day this month (hasn't really stopped raining here since late July - well roads haven't been dry!:D). Took the car out for a 40-mile cruise - top down - weather cold but bearable - will monitor and see how the battery behaves over the next few days on turn over. I hope 40 miles is enough to determine the state-of play - here's hoping?

Get yourself a cheap plug in battery monitor to check its getting a healthy charge from the alternator

Had a similar issue to yours and it turned out the alternator was not pushing out sufficient charge.
Flat battery after use of Headlights as battery was not getting enough charge, it was just about coping during daylight use but couldn't cope with use of headlights at night, hence flat the next day.
