Archived Oulton Park club trackday March 1st

It's time to start looking forward to the 2013 trackday season and as usual we will be opening it up with our club day at Oulton Park.

Friday March 1st is the date and we've held the same price as 2012 so it's £130 for open pitlane on the full International Circuit. If you book using the code ZROAD you will also be entered into our draw for free places, one in every five that books with this code will get their money back!

We will be sticking with the usual numbers which should mean no queuing (red flags permitting!) and free tuition will be available from our team of ARDS instructors.

For any of you that haven't been on our days before, we run just two or three trackdays a year working with other clubs and forums and the emphasis is a friendly day with plenty of track time (many thanks to the mods on here for allowing us to post our days up, we couldn't do it without your help ).

Suitable for novices, regular track monkeys and everyone in-between, these days usually fill well in advance so early booking is recommended, once it's full, it's full!

Bookings can be made HERE, makes a great xmas pressie or if you miss out for xmas you'll just have to book it yourself!

I have to agree it is the most fun you can have "Legally" I am afraid that I am committed elsewhere I think but I will know for sure at the end of the week. Brian just keep up the good works after getting Driver of the day at Silverstone in November, and Pete I think you will enjoy the day as well as because it was your first track day last year (while I was in the US in February) especially as I think the number of Zed's should be good.

I have signed up and paid for the Cadwell Park BMWCC GB one in May 7th That was first one last year and thanks to Steve I leanrn't so much I just cannot miss that one this year.

You are more than welcome to come out for a few laps if you like Moz. I don't think I'll be pushing that hard though, VX's have a reputation of biting you in the arse if you get it wrong Me thinks it best to go for the driving miss Daisy approach first time out :-ss

I have picked up the new car and the Zed should go this weekend so it looks like I'll be there in a 262 BHP VX220.

To say I'm a bit nervous is maybe a bit of an understatement :-ss.

Absolutely gutted, I have had to cancel my trackday on the 1st (. I cannot tell you how fed up I am but cannot get the time off (3 day trip for me) with one thing or another. I was so looking forward to getting on the track and also meeting a few of you guys.

There will be other chances to get together again Brian, for me also it is a two day trip I am at least able to get back home Very late after the event. It is still however about a 700 mile round trip. I am at Snetterton this Friday 1st March (also missing the Get together with other Zorg members) but the next BMWCCGB one is Cadwell Park on the 7th May and that is a great Circuit as Steve will tell you, Maybe some of the others will join us there. Just to be clear you do not have to be a member of BMW CC GB in order to do one of their track days you jus pay a little more than we members do (I think Snetterton is £5 extra, Cadwell is also £5 extra for non members) I made a mess of Snetterton at the end of last season so needed to go back and try get it right for my own piece of mind. That and the fact that my Pal who I go with had a head gasket problem last year there and he wanted to re-do Snetterton as well.

I will check the facts with Nick and see if we have a post for the list of BMW CC GB track days if not I will post one.

Today was a great day, really good seeing Swamper and the lovely Mandy. Shame Mozza couldn't make it but I'm sure we will catch up soon enough.

The VX isn't a very good road car, in fact I was starting to doubt my decision to buy it............but on the track..........it was truely epic! WHAT A MACHINE!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I'm still getting to grips with my new camera so don't have any video footage to show for it.

Hopefully I'll catch up with every one on the next cruise
