When you click the "what's new" button it lists the most recent 10 threads with a "More" button in the bottom right corner. I clicked that button and it stalled for a moment and showed that error. There was more text basically saying the request had failed because of the cluster of gerbils in our backend.
Or maybe the webserver sent a request to the MySQL server which uses MaxScale to spread the load across multiple database servers and something couldn't find what it was looking for. Tsk gerbils.
