Blimey, you lot are very trusting.

A couple of things....
It seems very cheap for what it supposedly is
It had a V5 issued 2 days ago, so has either sold already, had a private plate removed, or another reason?
The MOT history only goes back to 2013. Why? Could be an imported car, or could be a CAT car.
It's also on Facebook marketplace which is FULL of scammers and dodgy individulas

Facebook Marketplace does have scammers but they are usually easy to spot. The conversation with the chap did seem a bit odd. When I tried to get a car check the company refused to do one, reasons unknown. I will give it a miss. Thank you for all your posts.

The hidden reg in photos is usually the most obvious warning sign. Hopefully something else comes up for you.

I've found the car check firms (like the insurance companies) are bit slow to update their registration databases.

As a result if the reg has only recently been changed they won't return a search.

That seems to be the case with this car and will also be the reason the V5 has only recently been issued.

Looks like the car was previously registered under H19 HRY which seems to fit if you say the seller is called Harry.
