Ongoing lean code issue - mafs and where can i buy one?!

After having many air/vacuum pipes, pcv, fuel filter, smoke test showing no leaks, fuel pump and regulator replaced i'm looking at changing the MAF, it was swapped out earlier in the cycle for another second hand one but that could have been a red herring.

So to my question, i understand its best to get a siemens or bosch MAF but where can i order one from? I am finding it difficult to find one.

Its for a 02reg z3 3.0i

Any suggestions or does anyone know the part number?

Have you put a code reader on it, always best to do that before throwing parts at it.

As eyewatering prices are for oem Mafs it is the way to go to be assured that it works out of the box. Cheap non oem brands are rarely good or last long, buy cheap you end up buying twice.

My lean codes ended up being a relatively cheap inlet cam angle sensor, strangely enough the code reader told me so, a bit odd really unless I inadvertantly fixed another issue whilst replacing the sensor.. Anything is possible with my old girl.....

Did the car generally drive fine? Mine doesn't seem bad at all, but after resetting code it tends to come back on every second time I drive it afterwards, mileage doesn't seem to affect it

A little stalling at idle occasionally , but fine otherwise..

Air leaks the usual cause of those Lean codes, smoke test it to find any leaks. If that checks out then suspect the Maf but only replace that with oem brands Bosch or Siemens, don't buy cheap Mafs.

Yeah mad is where I've got to after having had a load of pipes replaced and a smoke test.

From what I've read on various forums that also use the same m54b30 engine that a Siemens VDO is open but also a bremi is an option
