A previous owner of my Z had , for some reason I can't imagine, broken off all the plastic bits covering the posts where the seat belt retractors are located behind the seats. I must be a little bit OCD, because every time I drove, looked at, or thought about the car, those 2 posts serioysly bothered me. I finally came up with a diy fix that turned out okay...at least for me. :)

I built a box from some fiberboard I had in my shop, added some 1" (2.5 cm?) foam padding, and covered it with black vinyl. It fit over the posts almost perfectly, made a couple of adjustments, , and now I have a storage compartment for CDs and other small items. If nothing else , it at least looks better than those poles...

Maybe the previous owner had a similar box with crazy big speakers - or his armalite. Took it out when he sold the car.

Should be able to find the original parts on the bay?
