Just got back from Asda in town, looks like the panic buying is over. Loads of stuff on the shelves, but lines of tape to follow around the place. Didn't want to visit every aisle, but wound up having to. Nice empty roads, too, and I could park right outside the bank as well.
Jue has been to Aldi today and said it was really well stocked and the staff have the store running really well. Cash outs now have screens to protect staff and they are watching closely for anyone not adhering to the 2m rule. She even managed to get a packet of toilet rolls! Well done Aldi!
WE saw evidence of the same earlier in the week - it pretty much mirrors Italy, they were the same 2-3 weeks after the panic buying.
Friend in Germany is saying the same - everything available and easy to shop. Good on the supermarket staff for keeping on top of this.
There's a lot of folks who wont be needing anything until May
