I am sending a reply to him now asking him to try again explaining to him that one of the hallmarks of our forum is the friendliness and spirit with which we welcome new members. I told him that something must have happened with regard to the site he went to as we would have never refused to respond to a new member.

Oh, and don't laugh but that happened before. Got an email years back asking why his password wasn't working and he couldn't log in. Took 4 emails to figure out he hadn't actually registered on here...
