During the month of December 2013, officers from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire constabularies are taking part in national and European-wide campaigns to stop and breathalyze drivers at all times of day. This sends a message that firm action will be taken on drunk drivers.

Lotus is helping the cause by providing fully liveried Lotus Evora S cars to help spread the word about the 'fatal four' driving behaviors. These consist of drunk driving, speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, and driving while on the phone.

They say that driving under the influence of drugs is fast becoming as big if not bigger problem than driving under the influence of alcohol. Re phone abuse in cars, our son and his girlfriend and I got a taxi from O.I.A in Florida to the hotel a couple of years ago and the female driver was constantly talking and even texting whilst driving. We couldn't believe our eyes.

Interesting HT...look at the reg...it is the same car as I saw ...OK games up I went over and spoke to the constable and he confirmed that it was not a "real" police car....(notice the lack of aerials)....it was indeed a 3 month secondment to D&C Constab as a promotional vehicle on the basis and I quote "If I rocked up in a Ford Focus at these events most people would just ignore me....this is an ice-breaker"....nice guy...cool car

My brother had one (one of the first I think)
Lotus came out to his house with it, before he bought it, to make sure it could get down the country lane.
He was glad to see the back of it in the end.
Nothing but problems, it was with Lotus more than it was with him.

Yep...same deal...but a McLaren!!! jesus that is got to be about a mills worth.. Re the Lotus we did point out to the nice policeman that most of the kit we were on could out accelerate and outhandle him with some of them being able to do him on top end as well.....it was at that juncture he went on to describe the VMTIS (the vehicle mounted Tazer immobilising system).....yeh right!......
