Was that a Marshall tractor Hugh? If so it was made in a factory about 6 miles from me.

Been to this a couple of times, was great.
Wasn't that the one Fred Dibnah travelled to on his engine with trailer years ago. We stayed down in Dorset a few years ago but didn't get to see it.:(

Try now it's only a short clip.I don't think it's a Marshal my neighbour has 2 diesel single cylinder Marshals that you start with a cartridge, lovely things.the Germans had a similar tractor Lanz bulldog in fact it was a copy and you had to start it by lighting a blowtorch at the front of the cylinder (it lays horizontal ) take the steering wheel off putting it on a gear connected to the prop and giving it a heave

I really enjoyed that Hugh! When we were travelling Europe we used to stop anywhere they were having the farm shows to watch and learn how things were done before my time. Great people and even better beer once they found out we weren't American but Canadian. Especially the Dutch because it was Canadian troops that liberated them. It was amazing to see the different methods used in other countries. Thanks, JIM
