some people name there cars, this seems a little odd to me, but cars DO have a gender.

Z3 and Z4 are both male
anyone see it differently? maybe this idea may seem odd to people who name there cars.

there is no correct answer, im just curious as to others views on this.

i called a car a name once, just as a mother was walking her toddler past my house, the look she gave me was priceless=))

I've never named any of my cars but I've always thought of them as being female as i don't want to have a relationship with another male.
My Z3 has the curves of a female as i wash her down and polish her to a shine I'm sure she appreciates it.

the Japanese use gender design to target there sales, its interesting how different people interpret shape and form differently, to me all german cars are deliberately male by design, is it the fact the z is a convertible that encourages the female idea?

I am afraid there is a correct answer to this and has been answered on the forum before, all cars are female because you get in to them, therefore they are a receptacle or cup, therefore they are female...conervseley all horses are male...

They are all just a machine with no feelings or emotion.
Your Wrong There! a car responds to you, it lets you know if it's being driven too slow, too fast, cornered incorrectly, if it likes the way you drive off, if it doesn't. If you get it wrong, it will just give up on you and you're in the s***. Thats why you love it, perhaps give it a name, because it communicates with you.

Do you remember the adverts for the Renault Clio from years ago? What's yours called? Bobby Davro did a sketch in his Saturday evening comedy show, which showed him, in his Clio, in a car park, cranking the engine which wouldn't start repeatedly. Eventually he thumps the steering wheel and exclaims " b*****d" and then the original TV ad comes in and says " What's yours called?"=))=))
