Oils and Filters

Hi Guys,

What oil and filters are we using in the 2.2 engine.
81k Miles.
Flush first or just drain and refill.

Also thinking of a K&N panel filter, Any benefits or just use standard BMW filter.

I changed my oil and filter last night, used a wix filter and 5w40 full synth, I like to use Castrol, but oil as ever can cause great debate, I would say that any oil that met the spec for our cars would be good, the main thing is to change it.
I had a k&n cone type filter on for a while, but now I have the stock airbox and run paper filters,it seems to run nicer to me, and I don't get the oil from the k&n filter fouling up the sensor

Use standard bmw filters for both oil and air. Expensive panel filters are just expensive trinkets.

I personally wouldn't bother with a flush

Can't help with grade of oil, check opie oils website
