Hi,
I have been creating a database of all the jobs and parts etc that I have receipts for from previous owners etc - its pretty good.

I have two questions please. (1998 1.9 auto)

1. In Sept 2009 the car had selector shaft & seal, Dexron iii oil, cooler pipes & seals. (56k miles)
Is this due a transmission oil change now as it is Dexron III rather than BMW "lifetime" oil? (now at 107k miles)

2. It has had an annual (ish) oil change for each service and listed below are the oils that have been used to date (where the info was put on the service sheet)
Which should be my preferred one?

GTX Magnatec
Castrol SLX
Eurolite
High Tech A3/B4

Dexron III is fine as it's a GM developed synthetic oil and the autobox in your car is a GM (General Motors) gearbox.

50k is fine. Synthetic oil lasts a long time
