Oil Filter Cap Remover

Hi, does anyone know what size is required for a Z3 2.8 litre 1998. I sent for one thinking 86mm was correct but too small....aarrggghh. Thought I'd measured right

Wound up buying a 36mm socket for mine recently, works a treat. I was looking for a big socket, think it was something like 94mm and 14 flutes to go right round the cap, but had to settle for a socket for the centre bit.

You need to buy an oil filter cap set then you will have the correct fit as a lot are similar size but different.
Something like this.

Both my Z3 and Z4 have had 36mm hex moulded into the cap?

Thanks everyone for replies, I have got a 36 mm socket now....hope it works....just need a couple of the small o rings and ready to go....

Some filters come with the O rings for the stem and a new one for the cap
