Oil drain plug e86

Car is a 2007 Z4 e86 Coupe 3.0L si manual

Going to do my first oil change on this car but before l start, A) is it a conventional sump plug? B) Does it have a washer that l have to replace when refitting? C) If the answer to B is yes, where can l get one apart from a dealer? D) having no dipstick, is the oil level sender part of the drain plug or seperate?

Just want to make sure l have everything and know of any issues before l start it

@t-tony will help. Sump plug washer usually comes with the filter. Plug is either Allen key or spanner and level sender is a separate unit bolted in the side of the Sump.

Do mine every few months now.

Yes there is a washer on the sump plug "copper" but they do vary long as it can compress. Its also a 17mm bolt head. Washer will come with the oil filter or should do.

Going by the amount of oil taken out the engine/ what the engine needs I put back in near that amount, say 5.5-6 litres and let it warm up.

Oil filters for BMW normally come all "O" rings and a sump plug washer. Sump plug nothing special.

Some don't have temp gauges. My 335 has an oil temp gauge but does have a dipstick hiding at the back of the engine.
