OEM Front Springs

I was looking at RealOEM for part numbers of front springs. RealOEM doesn't show any for any of the z3 models I looked at? Am I looking in the wrong place? Anyone have a different page/site?

I've seen all the pages on thise site about recommended lowering kits But I don't want lower. I want Stock.

Yes. I am. But, as you say, "No Parts found matching your car". Just found that strange.

it's the same for the rear's too !... just had a look....I'm sure they were there, as I remember cross checking the numbers in Ebay

As far as I know there are no springs listed because there are severel variations depending on the equipment of your car.

If you have air condition for example, your car is heavier on the front axle so you have different springs than a car without a/c.

If you contact your BMW dealer and give them your chassis number, they should be able to find the correct springs – won't be available as aftermarket though, I'm afraid.

Thanks. That makes sense. I thought the main difference was between 4cyl and 6cyl cars. I think I have the wrong springs in at the front because ride height is too high so wanted to put the correct stock ones in there.

Problem is that going to places like eucarparts or AutoDoc they list 3 or 4 OEM part numbers for the same Monroe spring (only using monroe as an example). What you're saying is that those 3 or 4 OEM numbers are the ones for different spec cars which suggests that the only way to really get the correct one is to buy OEM from dealer.

It could be worth trying to contact @spurs fan in a coupe , maybe he has some springs from a Z3 with similar spec like yours.

I Don't think its that mad on springs.

There's only a few variations, 6 cyl and 4cyl Sport and non sport. then M.

As written above, there are many more variations depending on the actual car configuration.

Sure there won't be any dramatic differences in real life but nonetheless BMW has a configurator solely for springs, it's only available through a dealer though. Here's what it looks like:

If you want to see the calculator, visit a local dealer. It was part of the webETK for many years before BMW restricted the access.

You've not shown or proven anything other than generate confusion that's my point. The OP wants to know what spring to order not a list showing springs on an outdated database at a dealer. How does this help him...

I thought of that but most z3's are well over 20 years old so would @spurs fan in a coupe know if a z3 he was breaking had the original/correct springs? I mean if he was breaking my z3 the springs look good so would he have any reason to assume they're correct for my car?

Is your Z3 sport or non sport ?

In short could you climb on top of the tyre in the arch .

The OP couldn't find any part numbers and I explained why there aren't any listed on RealOEM.

Don't know what's so confusing about that.

It does look high, but a measurement (from the ground up to the wheel arch) might help and tyre/wheel size would also help compare with other owner‘s cars ? The thickness of the upper and lower spring rubber seat pads will also make a difference.
