Us old skool original owners went belt and braces, none of those flimsy spongy spring/shock things that needed replacing before the braces wore out :oops:

Plenty of oomph to deal with the increase in weight, with the original 2.8 and a bit!
Bit like e-bikes. As a colleague at work said 'they are heavy', 'ah, but there is a 750W motor to overcome the weight increase', 'plus you don't get older if you don't get wiser; why pedal when you can float along?'.
