That's at a very good body shop I know I can rely on. I can't take chances on a nearly new car.

With the Z3s I'd look for a decent back street shop. There's an excellent one in Swansea I'll give a go at some time. I'd hope you'd get your damage fixed for £500 or under. And that would include pulling the dent out or another door.

You could do some of the work yourself to keep the cost down. It's easy to strip the door. And easy to swap another one on if required. But it could save you £100+.
Fortunately he has said he will pay whatever it costs so it should be OK. I will ask them to blend the colour onto the front and rear wings to ensure the colour looks right as suggested by Jimmy on here.

Such a shame, its a pretty easy repair and will need to be blown out on the panel on either side, we are pretty reasonable on price and would be at about £400, so you can expect well above that and to be honest if anyone is cheaper I wouldn't bother using them.

What a pain always sad to see especially when not you fault or parked up.
Hope you get it sorted with the least amount of hassle .

Booked in on the 25th. They have said they will blend the paint to ensure an exact match and 'blow' it over the front and rear wings to make sure that it all looks as it should. Fingers crossed!
£500 plus VAT.... could have been worse.

Smart car UK in Westmead Drive. Have heard good reports about them and actually got to speak to the guy that will actually do the work. He is really keen on classic cars and looking at the cars in the workshop made me feel a lot better about it.

Yes they have quite a nice gallery on their web site. I nearly went there recently but got my arm twisted by the insurance company to use their people - Nationwide by the Oasis. Bad mistake. Went back 3 times for re-work just for a new front bumper.

I saw the gallery, which is one reason I went there. A couple of my mates speak highly of them as well. I will bring it over so you can have a look when it is done.

Yes I'd like to see it. The bodyshop in Didcot has some stunning work I've seen but a) I'm yet to find out how much it costs b) it's yet to be seen on one of my cars.

I'm going to have a go at some stage doing my own spraying. I had some acceptable results with a rattle can on the project car engine bay.
