Well now we have a 18mth old grandson there's even more reason to put my lights up again this year as he's just the right age to be excited by some houses being lit up, it's just a shame that there's so few people in my close prepared to show the true spirit of Christmas. Have you made the effort or are you thinking because all your children are grown up there's really no need. Shame on you.=)) It's not too late and you can get the battery ones now that come on for 6hrs off for 18hrs, too easy no?????? Mine are all mains operated and a swine to put up, but if it makes the children happy it's got to be worth it. Go get some tomorrow let your local toddlers know it's Christmas. Rha, Roy.;););).

Good effort and nice to see Roy. I do like to look at decorated houses and we used to go out driving around when mine were small as some streets really got into it. That said, if I did it to mine I'd have to go to the Isle of Man to pick them up most days =))

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.;)

Looking good Roy. @Redline went out earlier to put up the new ones he'd bought only to discover the mains lead was too short!!!:(

Tis raining cats and dogs again here - It will need to be totally submersed at this rate. Really wouldn't trust tape in this :(

Get one of these, cost peanuts, used them all the time and work perfectly, had lighting through out the garden all year and also the pump and filter kit for the carp pond.

I love snow but it should only fall on Christmas eve, Christmas day and boxing day then be banished 'till next Christmas.

I enjoy, like a child, every Christmas decoration with lights and appreciate and encourage very much even the slightest modest intention!
It's part of the spirit and you do it mostly for the comfort of the viewers. It's sharing...
(Almost same thing when driving a Zed on the public roads, but then is Christmas all year long...)
