We got our annual forecast.i thought I'd share it as I don't think @MAURICE THE MARTIAN gets one and I know it'll get @hard top drooling.
We cross a Suffolk or a Texel ram with a Welsh mule ewe for the hybrid vigour it gives to the lambs so that they reach maturity quicker. It means that we keep 2 flocks, one commercial for meat, and one breeding for our replacements. This means we have 50% of our replacements male that are smaller and slower growing but probably they would be the tastiest to eat but the least profitable.Unfortunatly folk's don't apriciate what it tastes like just how much is on the plate.Bluefaced Leicesters are the best paid out. But which pays out for the meat
