Not sure about this history of this Z3

Whilst my Z3 is under cover and pretty much structurally dead (rust) I've been looking for another one.

This looks good and the part-ex is tasty (yes the Jaaaag would go) however the MOT history is well...strange.

Seems to have gone through quite a few corroded parts, although that's probably better than it sitting on there like my car.
I'd swap the springs from my current z3 so that's fine, and I'd get a garage to do the rear brake pipes.

I'd need to see it to be sure but with Lockdown 2.0 who knows.

What are the general thoughts on this Zed?

No mention of mileage? Lots of cheap 1.9 about need to get in front of it and see if it looks straight. Was the car originally Montreal Blue, looking at the inner boot rear panel?
With all the new bits on your Z3 could make a car out of it unusual if it doesn't need sills and lower front wing panel possibly been replaced.

98,000 miles. If comes with 12 months mot it may be OK. There were a few advisories on the last mot that could add up if it fails on them.

That is quite possibly the worst paint job I have ever seen. The rear window has been 'gunked in', panel gaps are uneven, .................Run away from that dog of a car.

I would agree with woodsta888, terrible paint job that is probably hiding a multitude of filler and botched repairs. Can see the previous blue colour in the boot and door shuts and would imagine under the bonnet. When the photos look that bad it isn't going 2 get any better if u go and view it. Don't waste your time or money I'd say.

general thoughts?
looks good?
maybe at night, in a dark room, with no windows, and the lights off, viewed by Stevie Wonder wearing a blindfold whilst facing the other way.

It says it has had a slight knock on the bonnet so the kidney grills don't fit properly,
looks more like it has had a small knock on the kidney grills and the rest of the car doesn't fit properly

small problems? it needs a new speaker grill,..... so I'm out...
;)

The add says no rust. Try expanding the picture of the near side and look at the wing/sill area.

Is it Stevie Wonder selling this car?

Tony.
