Hi Jack, I was covering myself against a predictable purist comment re 'manuals being the best'!,

All my cars are auto's, all except the Zed, but if an auto was about at the time of buying then I would've considered it.

Nice car btw.

We've got both... manual zed and auto diesel 4x4. Best of both worlds;)

Thankfully the arthritis in my knee is on the right side so I'm collecting pieces to install cruise. If it was the clutch side auto would definitely be considered. I drive both but still enjoy rowing through the gears.

It takes me 15-20 minutes every night to crawl the first 1 mile out of Lincoln. That's the first reason I got an auto, because to hold down, slip a clutch in 1st maybe 2nd back to 1st , stop , start again really spoils the whole ride home. I may as well have stuck to my Eunos.

Yep, agree Tony, the traffic in the west of a small country called Holland where I live is terrible, one big traffic Jam.
Have been driving autos now for a while.

My wife's 13 ford Fusion puts out just under 400hp from 2000cc and for a big car just flies when you stomp it. JIM
