A few of you will know Jennys zed, not had much use over the last year but still putting on the miles ..46000 so far. Went to drive it the other day and found the seat stuck in the up position .Cold top of the head for me.So trying to kill two birds with one stone I got a friend to redo the seat bushes, cheating I know but busy at the moment .Switch felt wrong so I took it apart re assembled and tested works fine. Nothing from the motor, Disconnected the driveshaft to remove the load still nothing. Next step tomorrow 12v power supply. There is a square drive hole in the end of the shaft but I do not have anything that fits if anyone knows what size it it that would be great.

Normally drives of this type use a "normal" size such as 1/4" or 3/8". Being of German origin more likely 6/7mm or 10mm.

The worm drive can get a bit crusty and can stick at the top of it's travel. That might give the impression the motor is doing nothing when really it's working hard but can't move it. I had exactly this recently. That said you did say you disconnected the load...

The motors can get knackered. I know some people have dismantled them and got them working again. I tried once and ended up breaking the connector trying to dismantle it. I'll have another go on a duff motor sometime as I don't like being beaten!

Well after taking the motor apart cleaning the brushes and re assembly it all works... Not an easy task getting it back together so still up for a spare if you find it Mrscalex.

All back in and working , so if you get a non working motor it is worth taking them apart even though getting them back together takes a lot of patience.
